When I think of Italy, it's not just pizza, pasta and wine that come to mind. Ever since I first visited Puglia, this southern tip of Italy has fascinated me. The white houses, the unique flora and fauna and the mentality of the people who live here immediately captivated me. Next to Tuscany, where my fiancé and I will get married next year, Puglia is my second favourite place. During our trip to Italy, where we visited Matera, among other places, Palazzo Carissimo was also on our bucket list. The stately home is located in Francavilla Fontana, a town in the Brindisi region, and is truly in a class of its own.
